Chatbots are still falling short in mental health conversations with kids
A new study found that in extended conversations, popular AI chatbots can still make dangerous errors with teenage users, such as offering an unsolicited mental health diagnosis or helping conceal a suicide attempt. The findings come despite AI companies' pledges to direct distressed users toward real-world help.
